HI, I'M JANINE
Having worked as a Communications Strategist for nearly 20 years, I took the decision to move into Coaching. I'd had Coaching myself and I knew first hand the impact it could have. I realised that I was at my happiest & most fulfilled when working with people, helping them through challenges and solving problems. So I went back to University and completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Coaching, and loved every single minute (apart from sitting in an exam hall).
I care about helping people find their way, whether that be in work, in parenthood, in life, or working out how to fit everything together. I believe that the culture of work has to change in order for us to live fulfilled lives in the future. And that we can start that by challenging and making changes in ourselves.
I believe in honesty, awareness of self and others, kindness, the power of exercise, and giving a s**t. I also believe that we each have to take control of our own lives and decisions - nobody is going to do it for us.
In order to ensure I continue to develop in my field I regularly attend Coaching supervision (which all those in the Helping professions do) and am a registered member of the Association for Coaching. I am also a qualified Mental Health First Aider, which means I am able to understand the signs and symptoms of any underlying issues and direct appropriately.
I live in South East London with my husband and 2 children. I am originally from Yorkshire (Hull, to be precise), so expect straight talking, a friendly welcome and flat vowels.
